Orestiades in Gibellina (TP)<\/a><\/h2>\n
Back on stage the Festival of Orestiadi Gibellina in its 39th edition.<\/div>\n
A festival that aims to bring out Gibellina, as it is also a meeting place between cultures,<\/div>\n
expressed through the multiple languages \u200b\u200bof music,theater, circus, cinema and dance.<\/div>\n
The spaces of the Baglio di Stefano welcome every year the Orestiadi di Gibellina,<\/div>\n
an international festival of theater, music,\u00a0visual arts,\u00a0with shows,<\/div>\n
concerts and exhibitions that over the years have seen the presence of artists,\u00a0actors, directors.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Orestiadi take place every summer in Gibellina in the province of Trapani since 1981,<\/div>\n
founded by the former mayor and senator Ludovico Corrao. The performances are held at the Baglio Di Stefano or at the “Cretto di Burri”.<\/div>\n
Orestiadi is an international festival with events,<\/div>\n
also realized and self-produced,\u00a0ranging from theatrical performances to musical ones,<\/div>\n
from painting to sculpture,\u00a0to cinema.<\/div>\n
In the Baglio there is also the Museum of Mediterranean Textures that collects textiles,\u00a0ceramics,<\/div>\n
costumes and jewelry used in the Mediterranean.<\/div>\n

STRUCTURE<\/h2>\n
The structure is outlined by an irrigation system with terracotta pipes and water storage tank.<\/div>\n
The adjacent garden features a fountain,<\/div>\n
stone seats and plants. Surrounded by dry stone walls and defined by a dense row of palm trees,<\/div>\n
the garden of delights marked the sunny landscape of the Sicilian hinterland,<\/div>\n
marking the presence of the house, water and man.<\/div>\n

FOUNDATION<\/h2>\n
The Foundation also has its headquarters at the prestigious Bach Hamba Palace,<\/div>\n
in the medina of Tunis,<\/div>\n
with the aim of increasing a dialogue between Mediterranean cultures.<\/div>\n
It was the editor of the famous cultural magazine “Labirinti” directed by Giovanni Ingoglia and distributed by Feltrinelli. Italian and European intellectuals have contributed to the magazine.<\/div>\n

Destroyed by the 1968 earthquake,\u00a0it has been restructured by the Architects Marcella Aprile,<\/p>\n

Roberto Collov\u00e0 and Teresa La Rocca. It is an architectural example of important artistic and cultural interest.<\/p>\n<\/div>
