Our traditional saccense cuisine and above all based on fish, caught and served, and many desserts from Sicilian cannoli to those typical of Carnival. One of the typical Sicilian dishes is pasta with sardines.<\/p>\n

In Sciacca tradition has it that it is prepared with fresh sardines, wild fennel, raisins and pine nuts and a pinch of tomato paste. Another authentic specialty of Sciacca and Saccense cuisine are the sardines in the buttocks.<\/p>\n

They are prepared with a filling of breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Sicilian pecorino cheese and lemon juice and then fried in hot oil. Specialties to be enjoyed in all restaurants and trattorias in Sciacca<\/p>\n<\/div>
