The Carnival Museum

The Sciacca Carnival Museum, thanks to its tradition, is the oldest in Sicily and one of the most famous in Italy.

The papier-mâché allegorical floats are up to 12 meters high, the festive costumes and original music are all made by artisan artists from Sciacca. The Sciacca Carnival Museum, with its fascinating modern structure, is a fascinating journey through history that not only includes a party but also a real fun machine for young and old.

It is an enchanted place that contains the memory of over 100 years of history of this wonderful ceremonial tradition. It is located in the center of a garden with a terrace overlooking the sea.

The main hall of the museum is already a dive into the colorful world of papier-mâché.
The second half of the museum houses the costumes from the history of the allegorical carnival of Sciacca. Each costume is closely related to a theme and the allegory of the chariots.
