The port of Sciacca

The port of Sciacca, recently enlarged, has a fishing fleet of 500 increasingly larger boats that unload 5,000 tons of fish every day. From the port of Sciacca you can admire the wonderful panorama and the numerous boats. There are different fishing techniques. The most common fishing is that of sardines, anchovies and mackerel, which are converted here in the numerous fish warehouses and from there exported all over the world. In this sector Sciacca occupies a leadership position in the world market.
