Pizza of Sciacca, the “Saccense”.

Sicily, we know, is a land full of wonders for the eyes and the palate. Among these we often forget to mention the tabisca saccense, a particular pizza typical of Sciacca, in the province of Agrigento.

If there are at least three of you, don’t hesitate to try it, it has an oval format that satisfies the needs of groups since it can be seasoned in two different ways. Usually served on wooden tables, it is placed in the center of the table.

You certainly can’t miss trying the typical recipe: on all the menus you can find it as Saccense and it is seasoned with tomato sauce, onion, anchovies and pecorino cheese, an explosive mix of flavors that you won’t find in other parts of Sicily!
